“The only one who can tell you ‘you can’t win’ is you and you don’t have to listen.”
—Jessica Ennis-Hill

Sports and games play a vital role in our daily life. They not only delight us but also make us healthy and strong. Games are indirectly related to our success. A healthy body possesses a healthy mind. Such a mind helps us to learn more and more. Sports make us stay heart and healthy.

Once, our school announced a special football competition. The match had to play between two classes 9 and 10. At that time, I read in class 9. I was selected as a goalkeeper. Our class used to practice every day. We were very excited about that.
" The match will be divided into three parts," our teacher said. The first two days had been fixed for practice and the third day of finalization. " The team who wins the match on the third day will be declared as a winner."
On the first day, we arrived at the playground. It shouldn't be said, but it seemed like we were arrogant. Well, the match started and we tried our best. But we could make only one goal; however, the other team of class 10 made 2 or 3 goals. Our teacher blew the whistle and the match ended. We were upset about our failure despite a lot of practice.

The second day arose, and we were ready to initiate the match. Unfortunately, once again, failure was our fate. Our captain started crying and we were trying to calm her. Rare inconvenience prevailed!
Finally, the day came that was the base of the match. That day would decide our success or failure. Being a goalkeeper, I was ready as usual. Our teacher blew the whistle and the match started. After 5 or 10 minutes, I heard an unexpected slogan, "Hurray! We have made a goal." Our joy knew no bounds.
A break came- after drinking water, the match started. We kept on playing until our energy vanished, but while I was trying to pick up the football from the ground; a player from the other team came and hit my hand. My hand swallowed, I could hardly play the match then. But that's my helplessness. What could I do at that time? But that was a 'Blessing in disguise' for our team and me. We made another goal before time up. And finally won the match.
We raised slogans and made merry. That's an awesome day. We had bore the palm. On the day of the result, we were awarded valuable trophies and a huge trophy for the captain. The other team was also awarded, for they tried their best.
But wait! What about my hand? Of course, I applied ointment and bandaged my hand. I was unable to write because that's my right hand. My mother scolded me because of my internal injury. But it recovered in four to five days. I was happy that the sacrifice of my hand brought our success.
